FactoryHack2017 – It sounds like a criminal act, in reality it is a digital programming festival. At the world’s largest industrial hackathon creative minds from computer and engineering sciences are invited to develop useful, innovative, and entertaining software products using brand-new technologies and materials, all this within 42 hours.


On November 2nd Matthias Schmich, member of Management of Siemens Industry Software, hold a talk at OWL University of Applied Sciences. He followed an invitation of the department of Production and Economy of OWL University of Applied Sciences. He talked about the digitalization. 

on 4th of October the annual meeting to honor long time member of VDI took place in SmartFactoryOWL. The honored member got the chance to visit SmartFactoryOWL. Nissrin Perez and Benedikt Lücke (inIT - OWL University of Applied Sciences) offered an insight view to the technologies of tomorrows work life.

The Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) accredited SmartFactoryOWL to an official ICC-Testbed. IIC-Testbeds are used to evaluate and test the Industrial Internet Reference Architecture (IIRA) and technologies of the Industrial Internet of Things.
