Sensor technology
For every manufacturing process, information about the immediate environment is important in addition to process data from the production facilities. Moisture and temperature influences, contamination in the ambient air and the presence of people can influence the quality of production processes. At Fraunhofer IOSB-INA, intelligent sensor systems are developed with the aim of being able to adapt production processes adaptively and dynamically to changing environmental conditions and to obtain data from production systems that are not yet networked. The solutions are characterized by simplified integration into plants, information fusion of secondary measurement variables and adaptation to the environment. The result is a more efficient and economical operation of production plants.
Intelligent sensor systems are specifically optimized to meet your requirements in terms of data acquisition and pre-processing, installation space, energy supply and communication interfaces. Projects focus on systems of different scaling levels, which, for example, can be integrated into anilox rollers to collect mileage data, derive information on the condition of the conveyor belt when mounted on mobile workpiece carriers, or record visitor flows or traffic flows in the Smart City.
